D2M Tour Troupes
We are so thrilled to have the continual opportunity to send our students beyond the local community to perform and learn at various national and international destinations. With such exciting ventures, our students have not only gained diverse performance experiences but have had direct exposure to the professional dance industry as well as instruction by some of the best choreographers nationally and internationally.
2007 – Los Angeles
Over 60 students and families flew out to Los Angeles in April 2007 to perform at “Disneyland” and “California Adventures”. In addition to this, students participated ina private dance workshop at Los Angeles most renowned performing arts centre, The Edge. Students also completed a performance class backstage at Disney with one of their finest performer and teacher Shelley Nichols. During our tour students and their families took day trips to Hollywood, Universal Studios and the Rainforest Cafe. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students and an amazing, learning experience.
2008 – Gold Coast
In 2008, we offered a more affordable tour package to our students so that even if you couldn’t afford to travel overseas, you could still be a part of one of D2M tour troupes. We had 80 students and families fly up to the Gold Coast during the April 2008 school holidays. Our students were able to perform a 30minute showcase of dance routines at Dreamworld. Our students also completed an exclusive dance workshop at the Australian Dance and Performance Institute (ADPI) which they found intense, but truly inspirational. Our tour also included a trip to Warner Brothers Movie World, Harbour Town and Jupiter’s Casino.

2010 – Los Angeles
With the US exchange rate quite low, D2M decided to postpone our Florida tour (originally scheduled) and return to the closer state of USA, California.
This time, our performers were not only given the multiple performance opportunities and workshops from our 2007 tour, but after an additional audition we were included in the “Diamond Dance Classic” at California Adventure where two of our routines were showcased. We were also invited to join the Magic Music Days “Celebration” street parade ahead of the full Disney character procession through Disneyland’s “Main Street”. This was the most brilliant, amazing experience for our students and parents were so emotionally hyped . . . our own children, dancing down the main street of Disneyland! This was the best part of our trip!
Our 8-day package also included day trips to San Diego’s SeaWorld, a Hollywood tour and star-homes tour, Santa Monica Pier and Goofy’s Kitchen Character dinner.

2012 – Hong Kong or Florida
The decision as to location and dates will be made early 2011.
